Foxy Lemon, pseudoboss, & The Pining Hearts on Sounds of PDX

Members from Foxy Lemon, pseudoboss, and The Pining Hearts recently stopped by the show to talk about festival bands and share some of their influences.

The topic of festivals or great festival bands may conjure memories of events you have attended in the past or documentaries and films you enjoy. Based on our interview, it seems as if the common thread in great live bands is passion. The guys and I had an in-depth talk about what it takes to create a great live experience for both the audience and the band. Our PDX Spotlight  playlist included Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Sam Cooke and of course original recordings from Foxy Lemon and pseudoboss.

I hope you enjoy my broadcast with three of Portland’s best rock bands!

I host "Sounds of PDX" every Tuesday from 7-9pm.

At my core, I am a musician, songwriter, producer, studio owner/engineer, and, most importantly, a lover of all things music. It is my goal to help connect listeners to local artists. I believe we should all be searching for the next thing that inspires us.

I am originally from Arizona, where over many years, I played in several different independent bands in the Phoenix and Tucson areas. I put in many, many hours of grassroots-style promotion in order to get my bands heard. I am excited to be a part of Portland Radio Project where I can provide an avenue to local Portland musicians to share their art.
