Portland Radio Project

REBECCA WEBB

President

Rebecca is an award-winning journalist who grew up in Portland. After working in commercial radio and television (Eugene, Portland, Seattle) over 30+ years, she wrote a thesis for Portland State University citing the risks of radio ownership concentration. (Here is a synopsis.)

Rebecca cofounded Portland Radio Project (PRP), along with several former colleagues, in order to help provide a media platform to local artists, nonprofits and small businesses (whose presence on local radio was largely eliminated after conglomeration). Granted two Edward R. Murrow awards, PRP moved from online-only to LPFM in 2015, and now broadcasts at 99.1 FM in the heart of PDX – along with streaming 24/7 worldwide.
