We were so happy to have this band back in the studio again! One of the most fan friendly, generously hearted groups of men playing music in Portland – Metts, Ryan & Collins really “gets it”! Their fans will follow them for a thousand miles to hear a concert and show their support! You and I only have to travel a few miles to see them at the mogo Portland Music Festival this November 20 and 21! They are not to be missed!
With a true love of the Northwest, this band may best be well known for their song, OREGON. The song tell the story of any brave settler on their way to Oregon. It brings about visual images of wagon trains, moving trucks, and maybe even an electric car or two. It talks about the excitement and joy of discovering a beautiful wilderness that is inhabited by amazing people. The entire album is available on Amazon.
Mike revealed to us that the band has recently reworked one of their instrumental songs. They plan to release it soon, hopefully previewing it on the Rock Block. We also heard that there were other songs in the works. That makes us very excited – the music is inspiring, with a full rock sound. Geoff Metts’ vocals are aggressive and convincing. Dain Ryan is a well-loved Portland rocker who kills on the bass, and Mike is one of the most entertaining drummers I’ve ever watched. If you have a chance to see them live, don’t miss it! They are local now, but you know how that goes…
This band consists of very hard-working, responsible men. Mike Collins gave up a night of work to join us. He probably also gave up a few options of playing out – as he is involved in many music projects! A few to check out are Ants in the Kitchen, Dilana, and Rooftop Screamers. Mike’s new video for his song TALK ABOUT IT is viewable on YouTube.
In order to focus their energy, Metts, Ryan & Collins will not be playing out live again until the mogo Portland Music Festival in November, sponsored by J-Fell Presents. Playing alongside bands like Black Powder County, Lucy Gray, and Pseudoboss – this festival will Rock!
