What’s that saying? “you can’t keep a good man down?” Well that may be true for Michael Phelps. The 22-time Olympic medalist, is scheduled to compete for the first time since the London Games at a swim meet April 24-26 in Arizona.

Phelp’s longtime coach is downplaying his appearance at Arena Grand Prix in Mesa.

“I think he’s just going to test the waters a little bit and see how it goes,” Bob Bowman, told the Associated Press. “I wouldn’t say it’s a full-fledged comeback. Call it what you want, all eyes will be on the winningest Olympic medalist when he hits the water in 3 events:the 50-meter freestyle, the 100-meter freestyle and the 100 butterfly.
