Musicians and other artists may have tremendous creative talent, but they may need secret knowledge to become successful – or even financially stable.
Arts education visionary Noah Kleiman wants to change that. He’s launching a new nonprofit, Secret Knowledge, to provide business and technical coaching to Portland-area working-class creatives. “Portland has a huge creative population, and many of them struggle to solve the puzzle of creative life and work life.” For example, Kleiman will offer tips on how to finance a new album or other artistic project using popular crowd-funding sites.
