Anne Courts was a super shy kid from rural northern Virginia who spent her childhood listening to her parents’ old records and jamming to the oldies and alternative rock stations out of Washington DC. At 18 years old she left the east coast for college in Portland, and has been hooked on Portland culture ever since! She has a particular fondness for 1960s girl groups, female blues, jazz and country, and local PNW girl-fronted bands. As both a girl mom and radio enthusiast, she is a huge supporter of female empowerment, and believes all radio stations deserve a show spotlighting all-female vocals. Her PRP show No Dudes Radio Hour!can also be heard on the community internet radio station Shady Pines Radio here in Portland.
