It’s not often you get to talk to your musical idols…I am a punk rock girl at heart, a huge fan of X and have long said my safe place is in a mosh pit. So imagine my glee when John Doe (musical badass, author and all around awesome dude) took time out of his busy book tour schedule to chat…(link to full interview below)
John Doe, along with Tom Desavia (and a slew of other amazing contributors) have done it again. More Fun in the New World, the follow up book to grammy award NOMINATED (see I got it right this time) Under the Big Black Sun, hit shelves on June 4 (2019) and is sure to be a best seller amongst even the most pop sensible of music lovers.
Immersing the reader in the aftermath of the LA punk explosion, More Fun in the New World tells us what happened when Hardcore took over, the Establishment (boooo!!!) came in and details first hand accounts of the legacy left by those at the forefront of the LA punk scene.
John will be at Music Millennium on Tuesday, June 11 (2019). He’ll be interviewed by Willy Vlautin (author and founder of band Richmond Fountaine) and promises not to shy away from ANY questions so come prepared to buy your copy of More Fun in the New World and hear more about the indelible mark John and his fellow Angelinos left (and continue to contribute…hint hint) on the punk genre.
