Armed with a powerful voice, a guitar and stories to tell, Scott Brockett  joined Michele Van Kleef on Portland Radio Project for a morning Drop-In Session. He hails originally from Central Oregon, but now calls Portland home with his wife (who just happens to play drums on his most recent EP) and little one. Scott’s music has been featured on several radio stations across the country, he won the Portland Idol competition in 2010, and was a top 10 finalist for Seattle’s America’s Got Talent. After taking some time off to persue a masters degree, Scott Brockett is back and ready to move forward and make music again.

We featured a couple tracks from his 2013 EP This Town in our Drop-In Session as well as two live songs, one brand new with an upbeat, Michael Jackson vibe.

Scott shared his song writing process with us and how he got started in the wonderful world of music. He has a show coming up this Sunday, January 31 at Alberta Street Pub.
