Week nine of the new Portland Radio Project (PRP) and Portland Center Stage (PCS) concert series “Local Spins” showcases musician, singer and song writer Amber Sweeney.
Somethin’ special is in the air when Amber lets loose with her soulful voice anchored by rock solid guitar work. This much-loved PDX songstress deftly glides through danceable beats, melodic ballads and blues-tinged tracks. Tune in and get transported into Amber’s stories, such as the Thelma and Louise-worthy ode to empowerment “Hit and Run”.
“Soulful and bluesy, wavering between warm and gritty at just the right times, Portland, Oregon’s Amber Sweeney, is an artist in full control of her voice and songwriting.”
Listen with your heart as Amber works her magic at Portland Radio Project’s Local Spins session on Tuesday, November 10, 6:30 pm at the historic Armory in the Pearl District.
Concert admission is free and open to the public. (No show ticket is required.) However, if you plan to attend a Local Spins concert, and would like to stay and see that night’s PCS play, enter the promo code: LOCALSPIN at pcs.org to get $10 off show tickets.
