This week on the show we had special guest Gene Rowan, owner and operator of Acorn Sound Production House. In our interview Gene and I explore the bands and recordings that inspire us.
During the show we heard some stellar live recordings from Acorn Sound Production House. Three of these live recordings were from the 2015 MOGO Music Festival, featuring local artists Berahmand, Redcast, and ADDverse Effects.
A special part of the broadcast was the debut of Gene’s new single “Blue Latitudes”. Blue Latitudes is a studio recording that showcases Gene’s talents as a musician and engineer/producer.
I was able to ask Gene about a wide range of topics when it came to music production. We spoke about recording drums, working with artists in the studio, and what gear you need (and don’t need) to get started. The PRP Talk Board lit up during the interview with fans from New York to Hawaii. It was a pleasure to have Gene in the studio and we look forward to having him back.
