UWAVE x PRP Presents: Puget Sounds
Saturdays: 8pm
Portland Radio Project is partnering with UWave Radio from the University of Washington Bothell to bring a fresh wave of student-produced programming to Portland. Every Saturday, from 8:00pm to 9:00pm PST, tune in to ‘Puget Sounds’ and explore an eclectic mix of music, talk shows, and creative content curated by UWave’s talented students. We are bridging the vibrant cultural scenes of Seattle and Portland, showcasing new voices and perspectives from our next generation of broadcasters.
Some of the voices you’ll hear:
Nour Currie is the Station Manager of UWave Radio, known for curating eclectic sets that highlight new voices in indie and electronic music. With a background in audio production and music composition, Nour brings a storyteller’s ear to every mix. Beyond the studio, he’s also a composer for film and animation, creating immersive soundscapes that resonate with listeners.
Samantha Boggs is the first Program Director of UWave Radio, with a background in hip hop and house dancing. She grew up consuming mixed media of music videos. Having lived in both the US and Asia, she has an ear with an international perspective. She is known for curating a mix of different eras of Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, and electronic dance music. She also programs with different students to provide a safe space for students to put out their voice, their vibe. Beyond the studio, she intends to study Electrical Engineering.
