Recording artist and rising star, Niamh stopped by the show to talk about her debut EP, songwriting process, and plans for the future. A few months back I had the pleasure of working with Niamh on her episode of PDX Spotlight where she performed songs from her debut EP, What Are You Waiting For. From the first time I heard this EP in June, it’s been in rotation on my phone. On the show I was also joined by my special co-host, Jen Emerson, who asked Niamh about the meaning of her songs and her inspirations. As a fan, it was great to hear the insight of such a young and talented artist. I also couldn’t help but be impressed by Niamh’s self awareness. During the broadcast she expressed her need to be understood, but not dependent on the approval of others. Her, take it or leave it attitude toward her music was very refreshing and inspiring.
