One of the Portland things we do so well is happening again this weekend: musicians raising funds to help one of their own with health expenses. Portland Radio Project’s Rebecca Webb explains why it’s important.
Bruce will be playing with Soul Vaccination again, but this time the occasion is a concert and auction to help raise funds for Bruce’s leukemia treatment expenses.
Thanks to the Jeremy Wilson Foundation, established to support musicians in health crises, donations at the Friday and Saturday night events will be tax-deductible. OMHOF board volunteer Rebecca Webb will emcee, along with man-about-town, bon vivant Rob Sample.
