Have you ever dreamt of being swept around a ballroom like a princess? Or, maybe you just want to shake it like Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper did in “Silver Linings Playbook.”
Either way, you can see ballroom dancing in action at the PDX Ballroom Classic Amateur Ballroom Competition on January 24, 2015.
Chapter #1006 of USA Dance will host the event, which could qualify young, adult, and team dancers for the 2015 USA Dance National Championships. Dancers from all over the west coast will attend the event located at the Ballroom Dance Company on S.W. Commercial St. in Portland.
Friday at 4:00 p.m., PRP.FM hosted dance representatives live in the studio! Listen as Nick Shur, board member of the USA Dance Chapter, and Dance Instructor Sunnie Page talk about the competition, the appeal of ballroom music and the dancing itself.
