It’s not every day we get artists dropping in all the way from Long Island. Saturday Joe welcomed Zuli in for a nice bit of playing and talking about life on the road. Plenty to savor along the way.
Zuli – Doing It For Himself
Zuli’s show was last night at Kelly’s Olympian. Below is a taste of what they do in the live setting.
“We really wanted the video to showcase the energy of our live show as well as our dynamic as a group. The footage all came from our last tour, and watching it now is only getting us more excited for our upcoming national tour. Good times.”

You can stream the band’s full EP HERE. The music recalls pop elements of early Flaming Lips mixed with the quirky pop of the Dirty Projectors and the glam side of T. Rex.
Fronted by guitarist and songwriter Ryan Camenzuli, Zuli released their debut Supernatural Voodoo EP last spring. It first premiered on Nylon who wrote, “the five-track compilation is vaguely reminiscent of a trippy, hallucinogen-fueled daydream and tinged with ’70s influences and swaying summer campfire sessions.” Zuli first released the single “Better All The Time” via SPIN, and premiered a Stanley Kubrick-inspired video for the track with Flavorwire. The band plans to release a full-length follow-up to the EP later this year.
