The Cascade Festival of African Films was created in 1991 by four faculty members from Portland Community College.
In its first year, the festival presented just four films.
Now in its 25th year, the festival has expanded to a five-week event, presenting more than 30 feature and documentary films.
Here’s our conversation with two members of the festival staff, Ronna Neuenschwander and Tara Foster.
