For the Autism Society of Oregon (ASO), it’s a very busy 30 days. Along with offering their usual supportive activities for families and individuals touched by autism, ASO organizes and delivers three major fundraising walks around the state.
In Portland, on Saturday April 27, 2014, Oaks Amusement Park is the site of ASO’s 12th annual Autism Walk-A-Thon. The park opens at 9:00 a.m. The walk begins at 10:30 a.m. And, for the adventurous — Oaks’ rides activate at 11:30 a.m.
The Portland event also features dozens of family friendly activities, including face painters, a sensory table, magicians, a tot obstacle course, and the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers in authentic Star Wars costumes.

ASO’s Board Members — including Jonathan Chase who sat for a long autism awareness interview at PRP — will be there to meet and greet during what promises to be another stimulating and enjoyable, rain or shine day.
