The Oregon Valley Boys hail from deep within the wilds of the Pacific Northwest in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Playing an eclectic mix of western and Texas swing, the band’s music hearkens back to the golden age of western swing, when bands like Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys and the Tune Wranglers were performing in packed dance halls around the southwest. The Oregon Valley Boys are: Randy “Tex” Hill, drums/vocals; Paul “Hank” Saunders, acoustic guitar/vocals; Loren “Spankee” Depping, steel guitar/vocals; Paz “Smokey” Reingans, lead guitar/vocals; Robert “Pecos” Waterhouse, fiddle/vocals and Matt “Speedy” Sutherland, bass/vocals.
The Swingtown Vipers are a raucous swing/jazz quintet — featuring members of local swing luminaries The Jenny Finn Orchestra, Down Home Music, Hot Club Time Machine, and many other swing/gypsy jazz groups.
