Director
Rafael is a writer, musician, producer, podcaster and nonprofit professional with a background in communications, education, policy, social services, and strategic planning. His writing has been published by a wide range of publications and organizations and includes news stories, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. He created The Early Link Podcast and produced and hosted it for more than 8 years, and has a passion for multimedia storytelling.
He is a performing member of the Porltand-based Bloco Alegria, bringing the sounds of Brazil to the Pacific Northwest. He has released two albums and multiple singles under the name Rafa.El, and continues to produce new music influenced by cumbia, hip-hop, dub, house, samba, and the next unexpected sample from the latest find at your local record store.
