Portland, OR, is one of the premiere cities for those who are known as “foodies.” A culinary mecca, if you will. The diverse culinary culture of Portland has brought about an equally diverse sub-culture of food writers. Authors and bloggers alike have found Portland to be a nearly inexhaustible resource of food-based establishments about whose virtues they can extol.
Tasty Tuesday’s own Steven Shomler, author of “Portland Food Cart Adventures,” had the opportunity to talk with fellow food author, Liz Crain who has written two books about the food scene here in Portland. Liz has written “The Food Lovers Guide To Portland,” just released in its second edition, and “Toro Bravo,” a unique book that is the story of a restaurant of the same name and the story of Toro Bravo’s chef John Gorham. “Toro Bravo” includes a collection of the restaurant’s recipes as well.
So, without further ado, here is the podcast from Tasty Tuesday for September 9, 2014 with Steven Shomler, Rebecca Webb and Liz Crain.
