Pandemic Poems

with Oregon Poet Laureate Kim Stafford
“Poetry can be a little lamp,” according to former Oregon Poet Laureate Kim Stafford.
“Compared to confusing news sources, compared to conspiracy theories, compared to fears, anxieties, I think poetry tries to strike a clear note in confusing times. In that regard, I think it’s oxygen.”
Inspired to seek clarity amid the coronavirus pandemic, Stafford is regularly writing poetry for our uncertain times – and he is sharing them on Portland Radio Project.
Pandemic Poems are broadcast Sunday afternoons, just before the Podcast Co-op at 4:00 pm. You can hear the broadcast at 99.1 FM in the heart of Portland – or stream from anywhere worldwide online. Download the PRP app.
Shortly after each broadcast, podcasts are available on this page.
