Inessa
Music Director and Creative Services
A walking A&E Section, Inessa brings a world of experience, knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for all things cultural to the Portland Radio Project.
Before doing radio in Portland, she was about as far from being in a quiet room with a microphone as one can get – living in New York City and dancing with various companies there.
Starting in the mid-90s, Inessa was on the air at KBBT, KKJZ, KUPL, Q105 and KGON before beginning her 11 year run at KINK in 2001. As KINK’s “Cultural Liaison,” Inessa forged lasting relationships with the Portland Art Museum, Oregon Ballet Theater, Portland Opera and Oregon Symphony, as well as theater companies including A.R.T. and Portland Center Stage. She continues to serve on the Oregon Music Hall of Fame board.
