Saturday, August 18 Owl Antique, Maxwell Cabana, DJ Retrobot at Mississippi Pizza Pub

Listen to the Sounds of PDX interview with Maxwell Cabana!

Come join us for an exceptionally groovy night of psychedelic funk and sultry R&B music from Owl Antique and Maxwell Cabana. Nothing moves the soul more than dancing the night away. Come feel the love!

Owl Antique is a funk/electronic duo that makes ethereal, experimental dance music. Their sets resemble a late night party in a sweaty basement. It’s as if you are dancing to a DJ, but all of their original music is created live, in real time, using live instrumentation and looping. The result is engrossing and wholly unique.

Maxwell Cabana is a PDX band of sultry soulsters. They make funky, psychedelic tinged R&B music sure to set off any party. Their passion comes through every note played and their combination of technical mastery and playful exploration make them a must-see live band.

DJ retrobot loves taking others back in time with tunes that make you wanna shake those hips and slide into the golden years. But don’t ask if retrobot has a favorite song or album! She wasn’t programmed for this and her wires could cross with a sudden explosion 💥 The best way to turn her on is showing her your best moves

Saturday, August 18 My Brothers And I EP Release Tour, Dylan Dunlap at Holocene Portland

My Brothers And I, featured as one of KCRW’s Artists To Know, will be releasing their sophomore EP August 17th. The EP comes on the heels of their debut album “Don’t Dream Alone” , which has amassed over 10M+ stream and syncs on top TV titles like “Queen Sugar” and “Pretty Little Liars”. With over 400K streams on their lead single “When You’re Ready”, their next project will “will undoubtedly have you entranced” [CelebMix].

Dylan Dunlap is a LA-native and internationally recognized pop/rock singer & songwriter. He found his love for music at a very young age and grew up pursuing the music industry in any way that he could. Dylan began performing on the streets of Los Angeles, where he caught his first break upon being discovered and performing on Season 8 of NBC’s The Voice. After that opportunity, Dylan turned his focus back to his solo career, where he is bridging the gap between radio-friendly pop music and an indie-rock band that needs to be experienced live. This powerful live show has been taken on the road, with Dylan touring extensively in Europe and across America spreading his music and being a powerful advocate for people battling mental illness.
Dylan released his latest single “Clockwise” on May 18th with acclaim and support from Apple Music, Spotify and beyond. His next single “LiarLover” will be coming in August 2018.
