After hunkering down in the gray of winter, the sun is finally here! It’s time to get out and check out local music.
The last Friday of every summer month, June 30th, July 28th, and August 25th, Portland Radio Project presents Dope Shows, Dirt Cheap featuring local musicians at The Day Theater on SE Foster. Local visual artists will also show their work.
Tickets are only $6 bucks to help out the bands – and we’ll have beer on keg for those 21 and over. The first in the series will feature Kivett Bednar, Kendall Core and Rahim Thornhill and his band “Loud and Rah” which covers a broad spectrum of music, just like our radio station. (Kendall Core appeared on Heather Hanson’s show, The Bus Stop, in March 2017, listen to that show here.)
Come down and support your favorite local radio station and the artists you hear on it, while enjoying some of the finest tunes in Portland.
Save the dates this summer and plan for a good time with PRP’s Dope Shows, Dirt Cheap summer series, kicking off Friday, June 30th and running all summer long!
