This year’s edition of MusicFestNW is slimming down and centralizing performances to Waterfront Park. Not all change is a bad thing. Say goodbye to checking the schedule a million times to try and keep track of who’s playing where and wave farewell to transportation twister and venue hopping. Yes, we’ll miss the scavenger hunt of the past but we look forward to a lineup packed with sweet sounds flowing alongside the Willamette River.

MusicfestNW takes place August 16-17, 2014 at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Limited, discounted “early bird” tickets go on sale May 2. Go to musicfestnw.com/tickets for more information on how to purchase.

Here’s the scoop from the folks at MusicFestNW:

This year’s lineup includes acts ranging from the energetic hollerings of mashup artist Girl Talk to the smooth striking rhythms of Haim. Get prepared to be romanced by Phantogram’s psych-pop/hip-hop stylings and catch iconic Austin-bred band Spoon’s raw indie rock sound.

Other acts include tUnE-yArDs, Run The Jewels, Future Islands, Fucked Up, The Antlers, Man Man, Pink Mountaintops, Gardens & Villa, Thundercat, EMA, Shy Girls, Modern Kin, The Districts, and Landlady. Artists will perform on two stages set up between the Morrison and Hawthorne Bridges.

MusicfestNW doesn’t stop at the music. There will be multiple food carts on-site to satisfy your grubbing desires as well as drinks a plenty to wet your whistle.
