We were joined by Matt Miner. Matt used to create house concerts. At HIS house. Then decided to move it out into the public arena.

Our session roamed from the art of songwriting where Cal admonished us that you HAVE to write that first song to get to your second. We talk about his Eastman guitar, the Portland scene, The Trail Band of which he is something of a musical director and finally new projects on the horizon which includes a refreshed project from his kid days, The Scepters. Here’s some background on the group.  And of course in-between, plenty of the finely honed songwriting artistry that defines Cal Scott.
